Donald J. Cinotti, M.D., joined his father’s practice, Hudson Eye Physicians & Surgeons, LLC, in 1981 after finishing his ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Cinotti was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1984. He is an experienced eye surgeon and benefactor of ophthalmology worldwide.

Practicing out of the Millburn and Jersey City offices, Dr. Cinotti specializes in cataract surgery and advanced anterior segment surgery.

Dr. Cinotti is a clinical associate professor at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Science.  He is affiliated with the Jersey City Medical Center and is the Director of their Eye Trauma Division.

Ophthalmology honors and awards

Dr. Cinotti has been involved in the politics of medicine for his entire career, and has served on many ophthalmology-related committees and boards. He is a past president of The New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology and the Hudson County Medical Society. Dr. Cinotti was previously Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Healing the Children and has served as counselor from New Jersey to the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Cinotti was the 218th President of the Medical Society of New Jersey, completing his term in 2011. He now serves on its Board.

Worldwide benefactor of ophthalmology

Giving back to the ophthalmology and medical community is a priority for Dr. Cinotti. He continues his involvement in the field both locally and abroad. Over the course of his career, Dr. Cinotti has made numerous voluntary trips to developing countries to perform eye surgery on children.
